Werkschau Tanzplan Potsdam

Tanzplan Potsdam presents the work of the 2010 Artists-in Residency Sept. 28th-Oct. 3rd.

The Artists in Residence program at the fabrik Potsdam gives artists the chance to work on new ideas on and about dance:

Dragana Bulut and Milka Djordjevich enforce the artificiality of performance in their work “Made in China.”

In the four striking and very different solos making up “The Half”, Diego Gill and Igor Dobricic present media which traditionally belong together within a dance performance – music and movement, stage and light – are separated from each other.

Lucia Glass’ latest work, “The Sound of It” opens up the sound of dance to the ears.

Norberto Llopis Segarra shows that the passing of time has relevance for significance, the length and intensity of the experience, the possibilities of generating new meaning and of throwing meaning over board in “Squint.”

Working from the myths, stories and depictions of ancient art, Lindy Annis investigates the role of women as well as their emotional representation and how they have been viewed throughout the centuries in “The Encyclopedia of Tragic Attitude, Part 2: The Feminine Figures”

Kate McIntosh explains the universe to us in “Dark Matter.”
