Alexander’s interests live in the critical spaces between event, choreography and performance.  He is based in Berlin and is occupied both as interpreter and maker. Alexander Baczynski-Jenkins graduated from the pilot project BA Contemporary Dance, Choreography, Context at the UDK, Berlin. As a performer he has worked with Rosalind Crisp, Marlene Freitas, Jana Unmussig and he has an ongoing engagement with Meg Stuart /Damaged Goods.  He has collaborated with Carlos Oliveira to make The White Tiger Burns brightest in the West and is involved in a research project with An Kaler. In 2010 he  was granted a three month scholarship from the NRW Kultur Sekretariat and premiered the solo piece Translating the agony in the garden.
