Islamiya Scarr is a Berlin-based visual artist whose practice is situated primarily within a fine art background. Her work, which often takes the form of ironic reference, explores the role of objects and imagery through a variety of media such as collage, sculpture and video.
Scarr studied History of Art and Architecture at The University of Manchester in 2002, before completing her Fine Art degree at Chelsea College of Art, London, in 2008. She has exhibited internationally and currently has her first solo exhibition in Berlin.
