Marysia Zimpel is a dancer and performer working in Vienna, Berlin and Poznań. She studied Dance at HÜTZ – Pilot Project, UdK Berlin, and Cultural Studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Her dance is influenced, among other things, by somatic practices, and work with the Australian dancer and choreographer Rosalind Crisp. In 2009 she received DanceWeb Scholarship. Currently she works for Isabelle Schad on her new project Music. Since she lives in Vienna she performs with the theater group God’s Entertainment. Since 2010 she works with polish curators, Anna Czaban and Jakub Bąk, organizing the performance event Serendypity, which irregularly takes place in Arsenal Gallery – Pasaż Kultury, Poznań, PL.
