a dance / poetry piece by Marysia Zimpel together with Eric Green
Working like a dog is an open choreography where movement and words appear on the brink of space and meaning. This dance comes from a wish for kinesthetic extension of imaginations (imagined body, space and time) and it addresses a human desire for lightness. An understanding between a poet and a dancer emerges from their shared sensibility for moments where states of being change. This dance asks one question: can I levitate now? and admits sympathy with verbs, dogs and fleeting relation to work.
