From The Airport
Step 1 – From the Airport
If you arrive with an airplane, there are a few airports in Berlin where you might get off. The old and famous cityairport Tempelhof was shut down in 2008, so it won’t be that one. But you should later definitely come by and see it. It’s an impressive piece of architecture. The two airports left are:
1 Schönefeld (SXL) ![]()
The airport is located in the south of Berlin and will be the main airport for Berlin in the future. From the center it takes about 1 hour to get there.Schönefeld is currently in tariff zone C, requiring an ABC ticket from Central Berlin.

2 Tegel (TXL)![]()
