TAMTAMTAM Undercover

This weekend is promising a lot, including an undercover version of TAMTAMTAM that will take place this Friday on the 11th of June at my studio, as well as the official inauguration of our T3 Lab on Sunday the 13th of June, where everyone is invited to share their artistic and research practice with the others.

But first things first:

1) adLibdances @ Laborgras

On Friday the 11th of June at 18.00, LaborGras will host a dance performance by adLibdances / Kat Válastur featuring our dear friend Ligia Manuela Lewis. From what we’ve heard this work is really beautiful and inspiring, so we urge you to make it there. The entrance is free.

2) TAMTAMTAM Undercover

After that, the same Friday on the 11th of June at 22.30 we invite you to TAMTAMTAM Undercover, which will take place at Dmitry’s studio at Kunstfabrik.

The thing about this TAMTAMTAM is that we have a smaller space and a special situation with the entrance that is always closed (not our fault). So we decided to use this opportunity to do something a bit more intimate and to get to know you better. If you’d like to come, please, send back an e-mail shortly introducing yourself to info at playberlin dot com (if we don’t know each other personally) and I’ll send you back the invitation, the exact location, and the times when we’ll open the door.

We’ll have Johannes Wengel sharing his latest music raritaeten, as well as a special guest from France – Perrine en Morceaux – who will perform live her solo set of which she herself says: “I sing ways of saying over loops of music. I wonder and experiment with what pop can possibly mean, using 1 body, 2 machines and 3 mics. I dream of songs as relational viruses.”

3) The New O Tannenbaum Location

The next day, on Saturday the 12th of June, our friends O Tannebaum are opening their new location on Sonnenallee 27 (close to Hermannplatz u-bahn). We are very excited about this new space as they’ll be showing great films, host amazing music events, serve nice strong Belgian beers, and, of course, DJ themselves. So, check out their website for more information and come on the 12th to celebrate with them.

4) T3 Lab – Share Your Practice

Finally, after a long marathon of art, music, and entertainment we invite you to come to our T3 Lab, which will be hosted at my studio on Sunday the 13th of June at 22.00. We’ve been doing it since March and the main idea is that people are invited to share their practice followed by a Q&A / feedback session. We have artists showing their works in progress, talking about their process, giving workshops, discussions, etc.

This time it will be me presenting network analysis of texts and how networks can be used to create nonlinear associative narratives in a performative context. To get an idea, check out ThisIsLike blog where you can see some of my posts on this topic. If you’d like to come, please, reply to this e-mail, as the number of spaces are limited.

Thank you for your attention!

PLAYberlin Snap-Shots october’09-march’10

Here are some Snap-Shots i took over the last months, documenting some of our events or related things.

Taken with Yashica T4 (point and shoot camera), which i more than recommend. You get them quite cheap for about 50-70 euro on Ebay.

Enjoy, maybe you’ll find yourself in some of them.

Fine Print:

TAMTAMTAM is a nomadic event organized by PLAYBerlin.Com platform for music and arts. It blends curated content with improvisation, and the only recurrent is the constant change and movement. We invite musicians, performers, the audience and let them create an event that would provide inspiration and entertainment for everyone involved.
